Yellow gardenia is extracted from the Rubiaceae gardenia fruit. Crocin and crocetin are the main parts of the pigment.
Features: Gardenia yellow, a little bitter, is brown powder dissolved in water and alcohol, but insoluble in fat. In the solution, the yellow color does not vary with PH. The good resistance thermal and light in alkaline media. It is capable to stain proteins and carbohydrates. It is applicable to the human body with the national standard GB7912-87.
