Angelica comprises about 70 species of large herbaceous perennial plants of the family Apiaceae. It is found in the northern hemisphere and in New Zealand.
Its root is an excellent tonic by the general State, against fatigue, asthenia.
The angelica root contains an essential oil that is beneficial to the digestive system.
Angelica turns out to be a good digestive stimulant. Indicated in cases of pain and intestinal spasms, dyspepsia (bad digestion). Angelica prevents the formation of intestinal gas which can cause aerophagia and bloating problems.
In addition to its carminative properties, essential oil also has sedative properties, particularly suitable in case of anxiety, nervous fatigue, insomnia and sleep disorders.
