Potpourri is a beautiful arrangement of dried, naturally fragrant plant materials (flowers, leaves, colored wood, seeds and cones). They add a touch of elegance, enhanced beauty and provide a gentle natural scent to any office or home. Potpourri is a natural air freshener, so often placed in open containers, like wooden bowls, baskets, or in small bags made from sheer fabric, jute, handmade paper etc. to allow their aroma to delicately scent the room.
A large number of plant species (nearly 300 species from 95 families, including fungi and lichens) are used in potpourri. Naturally perfumed flowers like jasmine, honeysuckle, rosemary, freesia, marigold, mock orange, carnation, tuberose, chamomile, and lily of the valley, beautifully endorses the potpourri.
