The Limequat is a little-known citrus fruit, is a hybridization of a lime and a kumquat.
This cross was made in the United States in 1909 in Florida to achieve "ti-punch" in more rigorous climate
it can be grown outdoors in warm regions, and potted in other cases in order to be wintered frost-free.
It is decorative with a slightly weeping port, the limequat fruits are small and, depending on the variety, more or less round or oval. Acidic foods, they can be eaten raw or cooked.
