Caspofungine

Caspofungine (Inn) (name of brand name Cancidas worldwide) is an antifungal drug, the first of a new class named the echinocandins from Merck & Co., Inc.. It shows activity against infections with Aspergillus and candida, and works alongside to prevent the enzymes - D-glucan synthase ß and touch to the integrity of the fungal cell wall. Caspofungine is administered intravenously.
