Tamanu Oil
This oil is gained from the fruit kernels of the Tamanu tree, Calophyllum inophyllum, Indigenous to South East Asia. The name, Calophyllum inophyllum, means “beautiful leaf”, from the Greek “kalos” beautiful and “phullon” leaf.
Tamanu naturally grows along coastal areas. In Vietnam, the trees grow in large numbers on the muddy and saline soils along the numerous river arms and canals of the Mekong Delta.
