Description: Silymarin a standardized extract of the milk thistle seeds, containing a mixture of flavonolignans consisting of silibinin, isosilibinin, silicristin, silidianin and others. Silibinin itself is mixture of two diastereomers, silybin A and silybin B, in approximately equimolar ratio.
Main function
1.Liver protection. Silymarin has protective effects on liver damage caused by D-galactosamine, carbon tetrachloride,alcohol and other toxins.It provides hepatocellular protection by stablizing hepatic cell membranes.
2.Silymarin has the stimulation effect on nucleolar polymerase A results in an increase in ribosomalprotein synthesis,and thus increase the regenerative ability of the liver and formation of new hepatocytes.
3.Anti cardiovascular disease.
4.Protect cerebral ischemic injury.
5.Strong antioxidant, can remove the body of free radicals, delay senescence.
