Uses : A decotion of seed is used to treat syphilis. Juice used to treat jaundice and diarrhoea. The fruit pulp and the seed are stomachic.
Seeds are used as a seasoning in dal, fried samosa, stuffing's and chutneys. Pomegranate seeds yield a drying oil which contains Pucinic acid forming up to 72% of the fatty acid.
