Charles and Ray Eames were renowned for their attention to detail and the Eames Lounge and Ottoman had been re-worked many times before they were happy to release it in 1956.
It has since achieved a deserved place in the history of furniture design and original examples can be seen in just about every design museum across the land. In addition it has had a certain amount of exposure to televisual fame.
